How it works

When

Rounds start at 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm, every day. Joining opens 10 minutes before each one and closes at the listed time; the first question follows 1 minutes later so everyone starts together. We sometimes run extra ⚡ Flash rounds on busy afternoons on top of the schedule above - keep an eye on the homepage or the in-store TV.

Where

In store only. Join the Hopheads guest WiFi at the venue - the game won't let you in from mobile data or from home. Every venue plays the same questions at the same second.

You'll need

A free Hopheads Passport (just your email) so we know who to pour the pint for.

Scoring

10 questions a round, about 15 seconds each, one answer each - no changing your mind. A right answer is worth up to 1,000 points, sliding down to 500 at the buzzer, so quick and right wins. Wrong or no answer: zero.

Winning

Highest score across all venues wins a pint. We add another winner for every 15 players, up to 3 a round. You need at least 4 right to win. The free pint unlocks once at least 8 players are active - that means they actually answer questions (right or wrong). Joining and then sitting idle doesn't count. Ties go to whoever answered faster.

Weekly prize

Not enough players for a round prize? Your points still count. The top 2 players on the weekly ladder (Monday to Sunday) each win a pint - you just need to play at least 3 rounds that week. There's also a pint for the most accurate player of the week - the highest share of right answers, with at least 30 questions answered.

Claiming

Your pint shows up on your Passport with a 6-digit code. Show it at the bar at any Hopheads venue within 7 days. Normal responsible service rules apply.

The ladder

Every finished round adds to the ladder - daily, weekly, monthly and all-time. It's just bragging rights, on top of whatever you win each round.
